Our Wedding Day

The Wedding Party
We got married by Judge John Frerking at Lafayette Hall in Lexington, MO. It was a nice, quick, and simple ceremony.

Tab and I looking nervous
I felt pretty relaxed, but Tab looks extremely nervous. :(

Saying of the vows
Once we got to the saying of the vows, she looked a lot more relaxed.

Tab looks very happy
All the nervousness vanished when I put the ring on her finger. Maybe she thought I was going to run at the last minute?

Richard signs as a witness
Richard, my brother, signs as a witness.

Tanya signs as a witness
Tabatha’s friend, Tanya, signs as well.

Picture of everyone present
In addition to Rich and Tanya, our folks were there too.

Eating lunch
After the ceremony, we went to lunch at the Victorian Peddler. They have good food, and a good atmosphere. Mom didn’t like the chicken salad, but everything else was excellent. They even had pickled beets! :D

Eating desert
One of Tabatha’s co-workers bought the table desert. I had the blackberry cobbler, and Tab had the chocolate cheesecake.

[...] Tab and I got married Thursday, June 1st. What a great day. The civil service went very smooth and quick. We had a nice lunch, and then relaxed in a hotel with a jacuzzi room for the rest of the day. You can see more pics on the “Our Wedding Day” page. [...]

[...] Doug and I got married on Thursday and it was wonderful. I wasn’t sure what to expect of a civil ceremony, but we said vows and exchanged rings and it was really nice! I highly recommend a civil ceremony to anyone getting married. It’s simple and stress-free. Check out this page on Doug’s blog for more wedding photos! [...]

So, I lose contact with you for a couple of years and you get married. Congratulations. Drop me a line(e-mail), I’d love to catch up. It would be great to meet your wife and you could meet my daughter (now age 5). In case you don’t recognize the e-mail, this is your oldest friend… from Lexington. I’m the one who knows why you really hate the French.
